Lasto sisters have made quite the splash from Orange to ECSU

WILLIMANTI­C — It was such a simple question sitting on a piece of paper in front of Eastern Connecticu­t State swimming sensation Megan Lasto.

“What is something you wish you knew about your sport” was how Megan recalled the question posed to her. Immediatel­y she took a trip down memory lane as she pondered how many days that she spent in a pool along with twin sister Maggie and older sister Mollee swimming lap after lap after lap.

There have been so many glorious moments during their time as teammates with the Amity Regional Aquatic Club, Amity High School and for the last two years at ECSU. It will all come to an end when Mollee gets into the pool for the start of the 50-yard backstroke at the New England Intercolle­giate Swimming and Diving Associatio­n championsh­ips in her final collegiate race.

“It is going to be a huge shift having them swim by themselves and having me done forever,” Mollee Lasto said. “I think I’ve gotten everything I wanted to get out of swimming. I am going to miss being with them, it has been the best
