Summer is special at the Madison Racquet & Swim Club

-

Fill those long days of summer with friends, fun, and fitness on the tennis courts and in the pool. The Madison Racquet & Swim

Club (MRSC) offers junior programs – from AquaBabies starting at 6 months old through the high school swim and tennis teams.

Why does MRSC tennis and swimming work so well? Its goal is to create a learning environment that encourages its juniors to have fun at any level. The philosophy, coupled with award-winning tennis and swim coaches, develops teams that have won league titles in Connecticut and New England.

On the swim side, group lessons are offered to the younger kids. Many of the club’s swimmers advance to the recreational team which is the reigning champion of the CT Private Club League. For the swimmer interested in a higher commitment and the next level of competitive swimming, there is the Shoreline Aquatic Club team which competes in USA Swimming sanctioned meets.

The junior tennis program starts with smaller courts and special low-pressure balls for 12 & unders. They play in the recreational shoreline interclub league and the more competitive Southern CT Junior Team Tennis league. The 14 & under teams have represented New England at nationals the past five years. For the most competitive players the Advanced Tournament Player program combines practice and participation in USTA sanctioned tournaments.

For those interested in combining swimming and tennis, the programs include the very popular Mad Kids Club in the morning which features tennis and swim lessons, and arts and crafts for 4 to 9-year-olds. The Serve & Splash Club in the afternoon includes tennis lessons, open swim, and games for 8 to 14-year-olds.

Memories made at Madison Racquet & Swim Club last a lifetime.
