Step away from all the screens – and enjoy the outdoors!

-

We live in a world of screens — smartphones, laptops and tablets! Sometimes, you want to get away from it all and focus on getting outdoors. We get it. That’s why your girl would love Girl Scouts of Connecticut’s summer camps!

Camp is all about experiences — taking a deep breath, enjoying the smell of nature, and wrapping up the day with s’mores and campfire stories.

At Girl Scouts, all girls ages

5-17 are welcome at our summer camps. With seven-day camps and one resident camp to choose from, there is sure to be one just for your girl. Not only does Girl Scouts provide great traditional camp activities, but girls expand their horizons while enjoying the adventure of learning and connecting with the world around them.

Girl Scouts wouldn’t be Girl Scouts without the great outdoors! Girl Scouts makes the fresh-air experience educational and fun with horseback riding, nature exploration, archery, swimming, boating and canoeing, and outdoor exploration. Summer camp is a great way for girls to explore leadership, build skills, earn badges, and develop a deep appreciation for nature while under the guidance of caring, trained adults.

Since 1912, Girl Scouts has helped girls in Connecticut build courage, confidence, and character. According to a study by the Girl Scout Research Institute, More than S’mores: Successes and Surprises in Girl Scouts’ Outdoor Experiences, 72% of girls surveyed said they improved a skill through their outdoor experiences and 50% of girls said they wouldn’t have done an activity, like archery, horseback riding, or outdoor adventure if it wasn’t for Girl Scouts.

Come join us for a summer to remember! Financial assistance is available and bus routes run throughout the state. To learn more about Girl Scouts of Connecticut’s summer camps or how to join, visit gsofct.org or call (800) 922-2770.
