Hamden Hall Country Day School announces Summer Programs
Hamden Hall Country Day School offers a comprehensive summer program that provides a wide range of activities and enrichment opportunities for children entering preschool through 12th grade. The summer program is in session June 10 through Aug. 9 and features many of the school’s leading faculty, coaching staff and alumni. Extended day coverage is available.
Camp Hornet offers daily swim lessons, group games, arts and crafts, sports, themed activities and field trips. Camp is held at the Beckerman Athletic Center at the school’s premier Skiff Street Athletic Complex. Register for any combination of one to eight weeks between June 10 and Aug. 2. Camp meets weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Summer Academy, held on the Whitney Avenue Campus, offers a variety of enrichment workshops and classes, study skills programs and preview/review courses in core subject areas. Credit course are also available. One, three or six-week sessions for students in prekindergarten through 12th grade from June 24 through Aug. 2. Also available is a half-day of classes followed by adventures in the afternoon.
Sports Camps offer the aspiring athlete the opportunity to improve individual skills or learn the basic skills of a new sport during sessions from June 10 through Aug. 2. A wide variety of camps are available including Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Lacrosse and Volleyball. Camps are taught by Hamden Hall’s varsity coaches and players as well as coaches from area colleges and high schools.
Early Childhood Discovery Program is designed for children ages 3 to 5 and features weekly themed adventures in arts and crafts, dramatic play, creative movement and music, water play, outdoor exploration, science, local field trips, swimming lessons, and “special guest” entertainment. Register for one week or all nine. The program meets weekdays from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., from June 10 – Aug. 9.
