STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS

▶ The Quinnipiac University Student Nurses’ Association recently donated 20 blankets to New Reach of New Haven, which works to inspire independence for those affected by homelessness and poverty through housing and support. QSNA president Charles Sharkey and Emmi Long, the association’s Junior class representative, pictured, made the delivery. “Right now, during this national pandemic, is the time more than ever to reach out and lend a helping hand to those in need,” Sharkey said. About 30 nursing students helped put together blanket kits purchased by QSNA over the weekend. ▶ A total of 465 bachelor degrees were conferred by St. Lawrence University in May 2020. An in-person Class of 2020 commencement ceremony is planned for August 2021. Local graduates include Grace Adams of Madison, Tyler Burns of Milford and Hannah Halsey of Essex.
