MVP KILEY PICKENS

Amity, sophomore Stats: Went 24-0 at No. 1 singles in her first season with the program. Won the Individual Invitation­al Tournament at Wesleyan University. Helped lead Amity to the SCC tournament title and the Class LL state championsh­ip final.

Honor: SCC Division I Player of the Year. All-SCC Division I and coaches all-state selection.

EESHA ACHARYA

Amity, senior

Stats: Teamed with Sydney Pitter to go 23-1 at No. 1 doubles for the Spartans, winning the SCC championsh­ip, the Class LL state championsh­ip and the State Invitation­al Doubles Tournament.

Honors: All-SCC and coaches all-state selection. Co-SCC tournament MVP.

Off the court: Amity High Female Scholar-Athlete and member of the National Honor Society. The 2020 recipient of the George Eastman Young Leaders Award.

Up next: Will play club tennis and club taekwondo at Michigan.

AMY METRICK

Hopkins, sophomore

Stats: Went 7-0 in a limited season schedule at No. 1 doubles for the Hilltopper­s, who finished second in the Faircheste­r Athletic Associatio­n.

Off the court: State Math Team, Northeast Regional Concert Band clarinetis­t, volunteer with New Haven Youth Tennis and Education (New HYTEs).

PIPER REMILLARD

Coginchaug, freshman Stats: Went 16-0 during the Shoreline Conference season, winning the conference singles championsh­ip, the second player in school history to do so. Advanced to the State Invitation­al quarterfin­als, falling to eventual champion Kiley Pickens.

Honors: All-Shoreline and coaches all-state selection. Team MVP award.

Off the court: USTA Sportsmans­hip Award recipient, high honors student and volunteers for the Honduras Children’s Project and the Durham Fair.

AUDREY ULRICH

Lauralton Hall, junior Stats: Went 14-7 at No. 1 singles for the Crusaders, helping them reach the semifinals of both the SCC and Class M state tournament­s. Played at No. 1 doubles in 2019.

Honors: Two-time AllSCC selection.

Off the court: Member of National Honors Society and Latin Honors Society, high honor roll student who also plays soccer and ice hockey. Member of Youth and Government, Key Club, and Peer Mentor at Lauralton. Junior Pro at Guilford Racquet & Swim Club.

HANNAH DIETZKO

Guilford, senior Stats: Went 12-8 at No. 1 singles for the Grizzlies, only losing to three of the top players in the SCC. Finished with a 19-10 career record in singles play.

Honors: All-SCC Division I selection.

Off the court: Honors student who volunteere­d in Buddy Tennis.

Up next: Will attend the University of Denver this fall.

LUCIA PINO

Law, junior

Stats: Went 16-0 during the regular season and

20-2 including the postseason, helping Law win the SCC Division II tournament championsh­ip and advance to the Class M state semifinals.

Honors: Two-time SCC Division II Player of the Year. Also two-time All-Area, All-SCC, coaches all-state selection. Most Outstandin­g Player of the SCC Division II Tournament.

Off the court: A 4.0 honor roll student, Pino coaches summer camps at Milford Indoor Tennis.

LINDSAY RIORDAN

Hand, senior

Stats: Went 19-3 at No. 1 singles, helping lead the Tigers to the Class L state championsh­ip and the SCC tournament final. Three-year starter and captain finished singles career at 64-5.

Honors: Three-time All-Area selection. AllSCC Division I pick.

Off the court: High honor student and member of the National Honor Society.

Up next: Will attend Holy Cross in the fall.

ALEXANDRIA VOLLERO

North Haven, junior Stats: Went 14-7 at No. 1 singles for North Haven, which finished 13-8. Went 20-3 at No. 2 singles in 2019.

Honors: All-SCC Division I selection.

Off the court: SCC All-Academic Award recipient, member of the Spanish Honor Society, part of the Aceing Autism tennis program and the school’s Key Club.

CLAIRE LANGILLE

Hand, junior Stats: Finished 18-4 at No. 2 singles, helping the Tigers win the Class L state championsh­ip. Stands at 41-4 overall in singles play. Played No. 1 doubles as a freshman.

Honors: Threetime All-Area selection.

Off the court: High honor roll student, student ambassador and volunteer tennis coach.

SYDNEY PITTER

Amity, senior

Stats: Teamed with Eesha Acharya to go 23-1 at No. 1 doubles for the Spartans, winning the SCC championsh­ip, the Class LL state championsh­ip and the State Invitation­al Doubles Tournament.

Honors: Two-time All-Area and All-SCC Division I selection. Coaches all-state pick.

Off the court: Also All-SCC for girls volleyball. Black Student

Union member.

Up next: Will play club tennis at Michigan.

ISABELLA SICIGNANO

Amity, freshman Stats: Went 22-1 at No. 2 singles, helping lead the Spartans to the SCC Division I tournament and reach the Class LL state final. Only loss was in the CIAC Invitation­al Tournament quarterfin­als.

Honors: All-SCC Division I and coaches all-state selection.

COACH OF THE YEAR CHRIS KULENYCH

Law

Stats: Led Law to 15-1 record — the 15 wins a school record. Led Law to the SCC Division II regular season title and its first Division II tournament championsh­ip. Also advanced to the Class M state semifinals for the first time.

Honors: SCC Division II Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2021.

Off the court: Teaches English and Journalism at Law.
