ROBERT E. O’BRIEN

Robert E. O’Brien, 81, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 29th, 2021, at YaleNew Haven Hospital/St. Raphael’s campus with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Marilyn A. Tammaro O’Brien. Robert was born in New Haven on March 30th, 1940 and was the son of the late Francis and Larraine Hurlburt O’Brien. He served his country faithfully in the US Army. Robert had worked for 42 years at Pratt & Whitney until retiring as a supervisor. He enjoyed working around his yard, spending many years vacationing in Aruba with his wife and was a New England Patriots fan. Robert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather to his granddaughter Kaylee who he loved beyond words. Father of Jeffrey (Carol) O’Brien and Andrea O’Brien. Grandfather of Kaylee (fiancé Kaylee Havanick) O’Brien. Brother of Francis Silverman and the late Marjory DelGiudice and David Schwartz. Brother-inlaw of Barbara Schwartz and the late Evelyn Silverman.
