Robert Lamb, 91, of

North Haven passed away on August 29th, 2021. Bob was born in New Haven on November 3rd, 1929 to Clarence Lamb, and Elizabeth Downey. He was one of nine children: Betty Biehl, Clarence Lamb, George Lamb, Dorothy Arnold, Walter Lamb, Leonard Lamb, Pauline Cantley, and Margaret Finer.

He married Charlotte Slater on December 22nd, 1951, and had two children; Robert (and his wife Julie), and Jane (and her husband Dominick), and three grandchildren, Amanda, Robert (Will), and Andrew.

Bob served in the U.S. Army, and was stationed in Korea from 1951 to 1953. His service to our country was a great source of pride for him.

Bob was a humble, gentle soul who loved his family. He worked hard his entire life so that his family could enjoy the things he could not have growing up. His greatest happiness came when he was surrounded by his family. He recognized the importance of education and encouraged his children and grandchildren to attend and complete their college educations.

In the end Alzheimer’s stole his memories and ultimately took his life, but his memories will live on in his family. He was loved and will be missed.
