The Faxon Law New Haven Road Race is back this Labor Day.

After canceling the 2020 race due to COVID-19, the event is back this year with an expected 4,000 participan­ts across five different races including the 20K National Championsh­ip with a field highlighte­d by Olympians and some of the country’s top marathoner­s.

Here’s a look at what to expect for the 2021 Faxon Law New Haven Road Race by the numbers:

2 – Former Olympians running the 20k (Leonard Korir and Jared Ward)

6 – Number of runners over 80 years old participat­ing

8 –Number of runners in 2021 who have competed in every New Haven 20k or Half Marathon

12.4 – Miles in the 20k race

13.1 – Miles in the Half Marathon

28 – Years served as the 20k National Championsh­ip (longest running U.S. National Championsh­ip)

44 – Years the race has been in existence

83 – Age of oldest female participan­t (Patricia Carton)

88 – Number of porta potties available on the New Haven Green on race day

96 – Age of oldest male participan­t (Herman Bershtein)

750 – Gallons of water served after the race

900 – Number of volunteers working the race
