Janice Baldino, 89, of East Haven passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the Regency House in Wallingfor­d. She was the wife of her high school sweetheart, the late Vincent D. Baldino. She was born in New Haven on June 11, 1932 to the late Ralph J. and Elizabeth Cole Walker. She worked as a Secretary for New England Drilling and Blasting for 30 years and remained for an additional 10 years after the company became Southern New England Drilling and Blasting. She was one of the oldest living members of the Old Stone Church. The church was a big part of her identity, and she loved it so much that she referred to it as “her church”. She also loved to vacation with her family, especially in Lake George, and was a Duckpin bowler for many years, where she competed in several leagues in Hamden. She enjoyed her frequent trips to the casino, and loved collecting antiques. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon (James) Masotta of Northford and Kathy Kristant of East Haven. She is also survived by five grandchild­ren, Ashley (Antonio), Jimmy, Philip, Mariah, Stephany and Jackie, a great grandson, Niko DiBiagio, five nieces and nephews, Joseph, Margaret, Michael, Jane and Janice, and her faithful dog, Little Bear. Besides her parents and husband, she was predecease­d by two brothers, Richard and Joseph Walker, a sister, Carol Hanscome and a son-in-law, Carl Kristant.

Friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at the Old Stone Church, Wednesday morning at 11 am.
