Cops: City man injured in hit and run
NEW HAVEN — A New Haven man is in stable condition after being injured in a hitand-run crash Wednesday night, according to police.
Officers responded to Columbus Avenue between Church Street South and Cedar Street around 7:17 p.m., Officer Scott Shumway said in an email.
“Responding officers located a 30-year-old New Haven man in the street unresponsive. American Medical Response transported the victim to Yale New Haven Hospital where he is listed in stable condition,” said Shumway.
“The New Haven Police Crash Team responded to the scene and learned that the vehicle involved did not remain on-scene.
The investigation is on-going,” he said.
