John “Jack” Iovene

John V. Iovene age 74, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2021, after a long illness. Born in New Haven on October 19, 1946, a son of the late Peter “Jackie Dillon” and Irma :Jean” Iovene. John was predeceased by his wife Barbara, who he loved and missed very much. John helped run the family business, Connecticut Auto Parts, for many years and upon it’s closing, was a truck driver until his retirement. John is survived by sons, Christopher (Tena “Little Cloud”) Iovene, Michael (Edie) Iovene and his grandchildren, Dylan, Brandon, Rocco, Parker, Madison, Jordan, and Jessie, as well as his extended family and friends. John loved

playing guitar and travelling the country when he was younger. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants, a blessing or curse that he passed on to his sons. There are no services, interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
