Francis P. Withington

On Sunday, September 12, 2021, Francis P. Withington, passed away at the age of 74.

Beloved father to Denise Withington-Montz, and the twins, Gary Withington and Dawn Withington, his son-in-law, Chris Montz and granddaughter Hailey Montz. He is survived by his former spouse Rose A. Howse, his sister, Maureen Stacy and brother, John Withington. Francis was predeceased by his brothers, Raymond Withington, Joseph Withington and Russell Withington and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was branch Manager for Sears and was very passionate about his contributions to the City of West Haven and its residents over his lifetime in many different capacities (Planning & Zoning, Public Works, Tax Collector and City Complaint Manager). One of his greatest accomplishments were the 33 years that he committed to touching the lives of countless friends of Bill W.

He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, his sense of humor and his kind and compassionate spirit.
