Elaine J. Brown

Elaine (Lane) J. Brown, passed away on August

20th, 2021 in Damariscotta, ME after a period of declining health. Born in Augusta, ME on July 8, 1946, she was the daughter of Clyde “Buster” Brown and Thelma Tobey B. and was a longtime resident and business owner in West Haven, CT.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Leonard Brown; and sisters, Carol Mooney and Linda Brown. She is survived by two brothers, Ronald A. Brown, and James C. Brown; two sisters, Donna Russell Smith, and Gayle Killman; longtime friend, Julie Schlessel; and many nieces and nephews. She will be laid to rest next to her sister Carol, at the family cemetery in Maine.

Elaine will be remembered for her strong spiritual faith in God, her sense of humor, building skills, generosity, and empathy. Always willing to lend a hand to those in need, she was a role model and regularly donated her services to many charitable organizations. A lover of animals, she took in rescue dogs, her favorite being shih-tzus. A capable and hard worker, she successfully operated her own full-scale print & bindery shop, Bridges & Brown Enterprizes, for many years. She will be dearly missed by her family & friends.
