SHELTON — One person was injured after hitting a parked car and a home with his vehicle Monday.

Firefighters and emergency personnel arrived at the Waverly Road home about 8 p.m., finding a sedan in the rear yard wedged between the home and a large wood pile.

“The vehicle had struck a parked car and hit the corner of the home,” Deputy Fire Marshal Paul Wilson said. “The sole occupant was still in the vehicle, conscious and had no signs of obvious injuries.

“Once the vehicle was stabilized, the occupant was removed and placed in the care of Echo Hose Ambulance who transported the patient to a local hospital for evaluation,” Wilson added.

Fire units remained until a wrecker was able to remove the vehicle.
