Sam Doumah, Hamden: Doumah scored a 10-yard touchdown in overtime to win it for Hamden 13-6 over West Haven.

Austyn Howe, Newington: Howe build upon his strong week 1 performanc­e with three receiving touchdowns, a rushing touchdown and five 2-point conversion­s in Newington’s week 2 victory over Manchester 52-42.

Matt Lockavitch, Shelton: Had 13 tackles and forced a fumble that ended a scoring threat as Shelton shut out Amity 14-0.

Dylan Magazu, Newtown: Scored three rushing touchdowns (28, 31, and 61 yards) and had a 49-yard passing touchdown. He totaled 115 rushing yards on six carries and completed 10-of-14 passes for 133 yards.

Darell McKnight, Ansonia: Rushed for 242 yards and three touchdowns as Ansonia beat Oxford 28-13.

Matt Piechota, Notre Dame-West Haven: The quarterbac­k was 8-of-16 in the air with four passing touchdowns while rushing for 55 yards on six carries in Notre Dame-West Haven’s 65-22 win over Harding.

Nick Saccu, Masuk: Ran for 239 yards and five touchdowns while throwing for another two, totaling seven touchdowns in Masuk’s 58-14 win over Stratford.

Jacob Staton, Notre Dame-West Haven: Had four touchdowns and 123 yards rushing on 14 carries in Notre DameWest Haven’s blowout victory.

Stonington Scoring: Stonington got its first win of the season, downing Griswold 60-0 with nine different players scoring a touchdown in the victory.

D.J. Wright and Drew Kron, Xavier: Wright rushed for three touchdowns while Kron totaled four (two passing and two rushing) as Xavier beat Wilbur Cross 56-12.
