Patricia Ann Lenihan August 7, 1939 - September 20, 2021

Patricia Ann Lenihan of Westbrook died peacefully at the Hospital of St. Raphael on Monday, September 20, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents Lillian Duignan and Joseph Lenihan. She is survived by her sister Mary Louise Lenihan of Westbrook. She also leaves behind her much loved rescue dog Blarney. Patricia was born in New Haven, CT on August 7, 1939. She received her Master’s Degree in Education and 6th year teaching certificate from Southern CT State University. Her career was spent teaching special education throughout CT. After retirement Patricia enjoyed traveling, gardening and volunteering for various organizations. Most recently she served as a docent at the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme, CT. Her sister wishes to thank the Westbrook and Clinton ambulance service, the doctors and nurses at St. Raphael’s Hospital and VITAS Hospice for their care and compassion.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday September 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Church of St. Pio Parish on Main Street in Old Saybrook. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. There will be no calling hours. The W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford is in care of arrangements. Due to COVID 19 there will be no reception. Masks and social distancing will be required at both the service and the burial.
