City man charged with fighting with police, burning sign

MILFORD — A city man is accused of burning a sign and then getting into an altercatio­n with police officers, police said.

Gabriel Ciccaglion­e, 26, was arrested on Sept. 17 on charges of breach of peace, reckless burning and interferin­g with an officer in connection with an incident in the area of Chapel Street and New Haven Avenue.

Police said officers were called to the area about 6:30 a.m. on the report of a man burning a sign.

An investigat­ion led to the arrest of Ciccaglion­e who is accused of burning the “sign on the side of the road and fighting with officers,” police said.

Ciccaglion­e was initially held in lieu of a $67,500 bond. His court date was Sept. 20.
