Chopt salad restaurant opening in Stamford
Fast-casual salad restaurant Chopt is opening a new location in Stamford on Oct. 6 — its second in Connecticut.
The “creative salad company” will open at 1081 High Ridge Road. Chopt’s first store in the state opened in Greenwich in 2015.
To celebrate its opening, Chopt will celebrate Chopt Gives Day on Oct. 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 5 to 7 p.m. The restaurant will donate 100 percent of sales to the Boys & Girls Club of Stamford from digital purchases made that day, via Chopt’s app or choptsalad.com.
The menu offers both predesigned salads and bowls with warm grains or cauliflower rice, loaded with vegetables, proteins, legumes, nuts, seeds and a variety of dressings.
Diners can also craft their own salads, with choice of greens, fruits, vegetables, cheese, eggs, grains and beans, and “crunch” like pita chips, crispy wontons and parmesan quinoa crisps. Protein toppings include chicken options, smoked bacon, wild-caught salmon, chickpea falafel and organic tofu.
Chopt offers seasonal and limited-time menus, like its recent Destination California specials: a “spicy Sonoma” Caesar with chipotle chicken and avocado, a “Cali Pesto” with roasted chicken, watermelon radish, feta and California almonds; and Gochujang Crunch with panko-fried chicken and spicy sesame cucumbers.
