John F. Costanzo, 91, of Cheshire formerly of East Haven, beloved husband of the late Ann Criscuolo Costanzo passed away on September 26, 2021 surrounded by his family in CT Hospice. Loving father of Maria (Dominic) Prete

Sr. of Cheshire and JoAnn (Ralph) Scafariello of Wallingford. Grandfather of Dominic (Chloe) Prete Jr., Jason (Sarah Taussik) Scafariello and Kasie (Joseph) King. Great-grandfather of Colton King and Eva Scafariello. Brother of Dorothy (Joseph) Marinaccio, George (Sally) Costanzo and the late Lena Mase and Vincent Costanzo. John was born in New Haven on April 22, 1930 son of the late John and Roma Filardi Costanzo. Prior to his retirement John was a meat cutter for the former Montowese Foods. John served his country faithfully in the Marines during the Korean Conflict.

His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven THURSDAY morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00. Interment with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
