Kevin Arguedas, Norwalk: Arguedas scored the game-winning goal off a corner kick in the 41st minute as Norwalk beat No. 5 Greenwich 2-1, keeping Norwalk unbeaten.

Sam Montalto, Stonington: The senior scored 5 goals in three games, getting one in a 2-0 win against Fitch, two against Bacon Academy and two more in a 3-1 win against East Lyme.

Lex Edwards, Law: Edwards scored the lone goal as Law defeated Branford 1-0 to remain undefeated.

Bryan Fishman, South Windsor: Fishman scored all 5 goals for South Windsor last week with two against East Hartford in a 2-2 game and a hat trick in a 3-1 win over Bristol Eastern.

Jacob Greenberge­r, Staples: The senior keeper helped preserve a clean sheet for the Wreckers by diving to his right to stop a Danbury penalty kick in the second half.

Caden Gallagher, Farmington: Gallagher scored two goals and added an assist as part of a 3-1 win over rival Glastonbur­y.

Justin Hess, Guilford: The junior keeper posted two shutouts last week against Lyman Hall and Branford.

Marcus Dostal, Law: Law moved to 5-0-0 on the season with Dostal scoring twice in a 3-1 win over West Haven.

Marcello Pannone, Cheshire: Pannone tallied his third career hat trick as the Rams beat North Haven 6-1.

Jose Gonzalez, Avon: The senior defender manmarked Hall’s All-State forward Lucas Almeida, holding him to only a couple good looks at goal all match as Avon earned a 1-1 tie with the No. 1 team in the state.

Stephano Jarrin, Guilford: The freshman forward scored 2 goals in a 3-0 victory over Lyman Hall.

GAMES TO WATCH

Brookfield at Barlow, Thursday, 4 p.m.: Two of the best in the SWC both trying to keep a 0 in the loss column.

No. 5 Staples at Darien, Friday, 4 p.m.: Darien is off to a blistering 4-0-1 start, scoring 14 goals in those games. Staples, which is ranked No. 5 in the Coaches Class L/LL Poll, has only conceded one goal through five games.

Shepaug at Nonnewaug, Friday, 6 p.m.: The last two unbeaten teams in the Berkshire League get after it under the lights.

No. 1 Hall at Conard, Friday, 6 p.m.: Conard wants to be considered among the big boys in the CCC and in Class LL. They do not get any bigger in either right now than No. 1 ranked Hall.
