A good bus ride

I am Sgt. Andrew A. Gambardella, a disabled veteran. I lost a leg and when I heard about the New Haven transit taking wheelchairs on the bus, I couldn’t believe it. It came to my house and a ramp shot out and I drove on the bus with my wheelchair which is really heavy and found myself a spot. We went to Lighthouse Point Park and I had such an enjoyable day and I got my own ride, I couldn’t believe it. I got out off the bus at Lighthouse and talked to the bus driver Leslie and she was very nice. I was a veteran in Korea for 13 years and I haven’t been able to get the VA to give me a leg so I decided to make my own leg and I had my son-in-law help me because I can’t get around like I used to. I hope this will help me get a leg from the VA because it will probably be better than the one I made.
