Susan Cary Goodrich

Susan (Susie) Cary Goodrich, 63, passed away peacefully from pneumonia on Friday, September 24 2021, at Apple Rehab Coccomo in Meriden, CT.

Susie was born on January 24, 1958 to William Eugene Goodrich and Virginia

Smith Goodrich.

Susie is survived by her children James William Keeney, Jennifer Keeney Moreno, her husband Raul Moreno, and Cassandra Keeney; grandchildren Emma Luz Moreno and Jefferson Raul Moreno; sisters Anne Goodrich Pugsley and Nancy Wayne Goodrich; as well as her nephew Christopher Goetsch and nieces Rebecca Goetsch and Corinna Kaulbach.

Susie was predeceased by her parents and her sister Barbara (Barbie) Bell Goodrich.

Susie grew up in Woodbridge, CT where she graduated from Amity

High School. She moved to Wallingford, CT where she raised her children. She was a single mother who was stronger than most people realized.

Susie’s life was characterized by her care and concern for others. She was President of the Resident Council at Westfield Care & Rehab in Meriden where she was an advocate for the resident’s concerns. Staff at Coccomo expressed to the family she was a light who exuded love, was a beautiful soul in and out and deeply loved by everyone.

Susie’s children will forever be grateful to the staff at Westfield and Coccomo for treating their mom like a family member instead of a patient.

There will be a private gathering amongst family and friends.
