Officers found that a 16-year-old Branford resident took a facsimile gun from his vehicle and held it at his side as he made threats at the victim, police said. The teen fled in his vehicle, showing the gun from the vehicle’s sunroof as he drove off, the victim told police.

The 16-year-old was found and arrested by officers. Police said officers recovered the gun and found it was a BB gun.

The teen was charged with first-degree threatening, carrying a dangerous weapon, second-degree breach of peace and weapon in a motor vehicle.
