New Haven Night Market returns to downtown
NEW HAVEN — The New Haven Night Market is back.
Organizers said the event in downtown New Haven’s historic 9th Square neighborhood (that’s Orange Street from Center to George), will showcase “more of the vibrant New Haven community than ever before.”
“The New Haven Night Market will include over 60 artists, entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations, sharing their curated wares, food, drink, art, music, culture (and) beyond,” according to organizers.
It will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. Oct. 8. The Town Green District (business improvement district) is the host of the event.
Businesses in 9th Square also will be partnering with the event, and will be open, some offering “special onenight-only ‘Night Market Promos’ to guests,” organizers said in a release.
The Night Market is partnering for the third year with Artspace New Haven to allow market guests “gallery access throughout the evening,” organizers said.
The exhibit on show will be, “Everywhere and Here”: Artists Respond to the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History Collection. A group exhibition of work by artists Martha Friedman, Anina Major, Brittany Nelson, Cauleen Smith, and Tuan Andrew Nguyen, organizers said in the release.

Park New Haven will offer a $5 flat rate parking
at Temple Street Garage, a short walk to the Market, organizers said.
