Flamingos have been spotted by Todds Pond. North Haven Garden Club prospective member Jonna Appleby painted a bike pink and added a basket to the handle bars which she filled with pink flamingos and pink flowers around the seat. The seat even looks like a flamingos head and beak.

Jackson DeLaney of Southbury graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Communication. John Funk of Southbury graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Sarah Mastroianni of Southbury graduated with a masters degree in Elementary Education. Jane Marr of Wallingford graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Nina Musco of Wallingford graduated with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Earth Science. Marie Delaney, Hamden, was among 31 American Legion Auxiliary volunteers who joined 96 female high school rising seniors July 24-31 in Washington for the 74th American Legion Auxiliary Girls Nation. As part of the premier ALA program, two outstanding teenage girls, known as “senators,” are selected to represent their respective state at ALA Girls Nation after participating in one of 48 ALA Girls State sessions held across the country. Delaney was selected to be on the ALA Girls Nation staff because of her exemplary service to her community and the American Legion Auxiliary.
