Cops: Man carjacked in his driveway

WOODBRIDGE — Police are investigat­ing after a man was carjacked at gunpoint in his driveway just after midnight Wednesday, according to police.

Sgt. A.J. Cappiello said in an email that a resident was returning from work to his home in the Route 69/Warren Road area of town around 12:10 a.m. “when just prior to exiting his vehicle in his driveway, (he) was approached by a male who opened the vehicle’s door, displayed a firearm and ordered the victim to the ground.”

“The suspect then stole the victim’s personal property and vehicle. The vehicle is a 2017 Nissan Rogue, color gray, bearing Connecticu­t Registrati­on AN-16987, has not been recovered,” Cappiello said. “The victim was not injured. A second vehicle and suspect are believed to be involved, but no further descriptio­n is available.”
