Fairfield Prep able to hold off Guilford

Luciano Paoletta scored at 42:15 to give the Fairfield Prep boys soccer team a 2-0 lead and the Jesuits hung on for a 2-1 SCC win over visiting Guilford on Friday.

John Reidy scored at 20:45 for the Jesuits.

Cal Stephens scored at 67:37 for the Grizzlies.

Law 6, Wolcott Tech 0: Lex Edwards had two goals and an assist to lead the Eagles to an SCC win. Eliot Melgar added a goal and an assist for the Eagles.

West Haven 4, Sheehan 1: Mubarak Issa had two goals and Collin Charon added two assists to lead the Blue Devils to an SCC win. Talan Burr scored for the Titans and Chase St. Amant had 11 saves.

Branford 4, West Haven 0: Tess Ferrie had a pair of goals and Ajla Mehmedovic added two assists to lead the Hornets to an SCC win.

Macey Girard had six saves for the Hornets. Kassidy Karrano had nine saves for the Blue Devils.

East Haven 5, Law 1: Emily Pycela had four goals and Gianna Mendez added two assists to lead the Easties to an SCC win.

Shelby Green had a goal and Sabrina Lawless had 10 saves for the Eagles.
