State Police: Officers find nine pounds of weed, edibles in home

SEYMOUR — A Seymour man turned himself in to police Thursday after authorities found copious amounts of THC products in his home last month, according to the Connecticut State Police.

State and Seymour police raided a home on Walnut Street in Seymour around 9 p.m on Sept. 7. The search warrant stemmed from an investigation into narcotics distribution from the house, state police said.

Detectives, with the assistance of narcotics detection dogs “Rory” and “Gerry,” found narcotics packaging materials, digital scales, 1.6 grams of cocaine, 9 pounds of marijuana, 204 jars of THC oil, 133 THC edible candies, 187 THC chocolate bars, 252 THC vape cartridges and three Percocet pills, police said.

After the raid, police obtained an arrest warrant for Saldi Hyska, 23.

Hyska turned himself into state police Thursday around 11:30 a.m. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance greater than one kilogram with intent to sell, possession of paraphernalia, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, operating a drug factor and improper prescription container, police said.
