NORTH BRANFORD — Police Wednesday identified a man killed in a Saturday morning crash on Branford Road as a town resident.

Once there, police and fire personnel found a body near the road.

Investigators called the incident a “suspicious death” and said the person was struck by a car that left the scene.

Police said the evading car should have damage to its bumper, hood and windshield in the front right area.

Police said that any “information, no matter how small” can be called into the department’s dispatch center at 203-484-2703, to the department’s anonymous tip line at 203-484-2201 or emailed to Lemmons@nbpolicect.org.
