Mercy girls soccer clinches SCC Hammonasse­t title

Kate Donlan scored the game-winning goal at 61:29 off an assist from Meg Gallagher to lead the Mercy girls soccer team to a 1-0 SCC win over Guilford in Middletown on Thursday.

Mercy clinched the SCC Hammonasse­t division with the win and gets an automatic bid into the SCC tournament.

Lexi Handleman had eight saves for the Grizzlies and Melina Ford had five saves for the Tigers.

North Haven 7, Hamden 0: Ada Forbes had five goals and Lily Coish added a goal and four assists to lead North Haven to its SCC win. Annalise Moulis had seven saves for North Haven and Shayna Bailis had nine saves for the Green Dragons.
