Anthony Esposito
Anthony Esposito of New Haven died peacefully on December 20, 2021, in Connecticut Hospice with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Dolores O. Fernandez Esposito.
Tony was born in New Haven on July 23, 1929, a son of the late Gaetano and Concetta Marino Esposito. He served his country with honor in the US Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged he began a career as a diesel mechanic at Adley Express, later working for Flexi-Van and Island Transportation until he retired. From 1977-1999 Tony served as a staff sergeant in the Connecticut National Guard 118th Medical Battalion where he received numerous commendations and recognitions. He was a longtime member of the Umberto Club and the Societa di Buoni Amici. Tony was an avid bowler, bowling in numerous leagues as well as playing bocce on Wednesday nights with the Bocce Crew. He also loved playing the lottery, always waiting to hit the big one!
Tony was the proud and loving father of Sally Ann (Ben) Bellucci, Anthony and the late Nicholas Esposito, brother of the late Sr. Bridget Esposito, ASCJ, Mary, Salvatore and Dominic Esposito. He loved his grandchildren
Christopher, Melissa and Zachary Esposito, Ava and Talia Bellucci and his 6 great-grandchildren.

New Haven Hospital 5-7 and the staff at Connecticut Hospice for caring for their father and grandfather.
Visiting hours will be Monday December 27, 2021, from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Pl., New Haven. Masks are required in the funeral home. A graveside service with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice www.hospice.com.
