Hollie G. Proto

Hollie G. Proto of East Haven passed away peacefully, February 3, 2022, in Yale New Haven Hospital with her family by her side. Born in New Haven October 7, 1973 a daughter of the late Anthony “Babe” Proto and Helen Griffin, Hollie was a Medical Underwriting Clerk for the Knights of Columbus for many years and had formerly worked at Artis Senior Living of Branford and Anthem Blue Cross. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed hockey and baseball especially the New York Rangers and the New York Yankees. Loving sister of Frank

Proto and his fiancé Deana Taneszio, Donna Proto, Anna Proto and Marco (Melanie) Griffin. Aunt of Ashley (Tim Sekscenski) Borzenski. Niece of Andrew “Butch” and Rosalind Proto. She is also survived by her special childhood friend and third sister Donna Denny, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and her dogs Biskit and Skootch. Hollie was predeceased by her grandparents Anna and Frank Proto and Wanda Laporte King and Paul LaPorte.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday evening from 3:007:00pm in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place in New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael Church Monday morning at 10am. Please meet directly at church. Burial will be private. Masks are required for all services.
