Colleran ( Jim); sisters-inlaw, Mary, Catherine and Elizabeth Colleran; brothers-in-law, Patrick Colleran and Vincent Inglese; and nieces, Catherine and Karen Inglese.

Peg was born on September 14, 1928 in New Haven, CT, where she grew up. Before going to work for the Southern New England Telephone Company, she graduated from Larson College in Hamden. She met

Jim while working at SNET and they were married on May 25, 1957 in New Haven. Peg soon left her job at the telephone company to take on the more challenging and important role of raising children and managing the ever-expanding Colleran household. When not busy with the day-to-day life of raising such a large family, Peg enjoyed activities such as traveling with Jim, duck pin bowling, swimming and tennis at the High Lane Club; spending summer days with the family at Owenego Beach Club, and socializing with the strong group of friends who she and Jim had befriended along the way; including neighbors in Spring Glen in Hamden, fellow members of High Lane Club and Lancraft Fife and Drum Corps, fellow Hamden school and sports team parents, and particularly a group of former classmates from her days in elementary school. She was an avid gardener, known for her beautiful gardens and raising orchids, and was a longtime member and officer of the Spring Glen Garden Club. She also volunteered for a number of charitable organizations, including Connecticut Hospice.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Watermark at 3030 Park in Bridgeport for taking such good care of Peg over the past few years.
