Police: Shooting victim walked into fire station
NEW HAVEN — Police said they are investigating after a shooting victim walked into a local fire station Tuesday morning.
Officer Scott Shumway, a department spokesperson, said the incident was reported just before 7 a.m. at the Dixwell Fire Station on Goffe Street.
He said a crime scene had not been found, and the city’s Shot Spotter system – an array of sensors that detect and report gunfire – had not alerted.
Witnesses have also not come forward, Shumway said.
