Viesselman delivers walk-off double for Foran

Morgan Viesselman hit a walk-off double to score Haley Stroffolino in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Foran softball team over Hand 7-6 Tuesday in an SCC game at Milford.

Stroffolino led off the seventh with a triple before Viesselman’s heroics. Kendall LaMorte had two hits for Foran.

East Haven 8, North Haven 3: Lena Barthel homered twice, including the 100th hit of her career, to lead East Haven to the SCC road win at North Haven Monday night.

Arielle Dupree and Emilie Bishop also homered for East Haven. Alyssa DiGiovanna had three hits for North Haven.

Haddam-Killingworth 6, East Hampton 5: Annabelle Zajac’s triple scored

Caley Napoletano in the bottom of the seventh inning for Haddam-Killingworth, which rallied with three runs in the inning to win this Shoreline Conference game at Higganum.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Guilford 18, Cheshire 9:

MJ Santa Barbara and Maddie Epke combined for 11 goals for Guilford (12-1) in an SCC home win. Ava

Harris scored three goals for Cheshire (8-5).

BOYS LACROSSE

Hand 15, Amity 6: Will Kleine led the way with four goals for Hand in an SCC win at Madison. Jack Coughlin scored twice for Amity.

Foran 13, Berlin 3: Chris Adkins scored four goals for Foran in a non-conference victory at Milford.
