Frank A. Laudano

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our son and brother, Frank A. Laudano, 42, of West Haven on May 6, 2022. Frank leaves behind his mother, Carol “Hedley” Giovanelli; his brothers,

John F. Laudano and fiancé Joseph Huvelle, Adam and Zachary Laudano; stepsister, Jeannine Porto; and his two beautiful fur babies, Lady and Sadie, who he referred to as his little girls. He was predeceased by his father, Frank “Cheech” Laudano; his grandmother, Mary “D’Amato” Laudano; and stepfather, Wayne Giovanelli.

For the past 23 years, Frank was employed by Yale-New Haven Hospital where he served as a PFAS supervisor until the time of his death. Frank was a beloved member of his team to both the staff and his patients. During his time with Yale, Frank was recognized as Employee of the Month, was instrumental in the implementation of EPIC electronic medical record and supported every go live at every delivery network. While the world was introduced to COVID and many were finding shelter to remain safe, Frank was at the frontline where he proudly helped run the Covid Call Center. His time at Yale will be deeply remembered, as there were many departments and systems that Frank had his hands on. Frank was promoted to Patient Account Rep. in Ambulatory and then promoted to Supervisor for several Ambulatory locations in YNHH.

Frank was loved by everyone and anyone he crossed paths with. He was quick-witted, funny, loving, had a smile that could light up any room, but above all, he loved unconditionally. Frank had the best heart and I think for many, this is what we will miss most. Frank was a devoted son who loved his mother; like his brother, John, we can all hear his voice screaming Ma or

Carol. His biggest role was being an amazing brother to Adam and Zachary, as well as his eldest brother and best friend, John. Frank and John were inseparable, whether it be in school, vacations, cooking at the Rainbow Ranch, or hanging with their large group of friends; they were together and always had each other’s back. Their bond was like no other, maintaining a huge role in each other’s lives and happiness.

Frank graduated from WHHS in 1998 and was a huge part of the reunion committee.

Frank had a following, and as many of us know, the ladies loved him. He had a great group of friends, and those friends came with special group names (some that we cannot mention here) but he was proud to have had a part in naming them. Frank was the life of the party, when you were in his presence you knew your value and he had a way of making each of us feel special. Whether it be a shoulder to cry on, a prom date, a wedding date, an uncle for your new son or daughter he was there willingly and lovingly.

Frank, your light will live on in all of us, we will continue to love life as you would. You will be forever in our hearts and in our lives as our guardian Angel. We know you are in Heaven with Grandmother Laudano and smiling. We love and miss you, Rest Easy.

The hours for visitation will take place on Friday, May 13 from 4 to 7 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home, 662 Savin Ave., West Haven. On Saturday morning, the procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30. A

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Victory Church, 300 Captain Thomas Blvd., West Haven, at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
