Shoreline Ringers to perform at concert
ORANGE — The sound of bells will fill Orange Congregational Church at a concert later this month.
The Shoreline Ringers, a community handbell ensemble, will perform their latest concert program, “Swing Into Spring,” consisting of a variety of pop favorites, jazz tunes, original handbell compositions and classical transcriptions, according to a release.
The concert is set for 4 p.m. May 22 at the church, at 205 Meetinghouse Lane. Suggested donation is $5.
The Shoreline Ringers consists of musicians from across Connecticut. The group has performed at Carnegie Hall as part of the “Christmastime in the City” concert, joined the United States Coast Guard Band as part of its popular Christmas concert, and been featured guest performers at the Boston Handbell Festival in 2008, 2014 and 2019, the release said.
Support has been provided to Shoreline Ringers from CT Humanities, with funding provided by the state Department of Economic and Community Development/Connecticut Office of the Arts (COA) from the Connecticut State Legislature, the release said.
