Walter L. Wolog, age 96, of Orange, a retired Mechanical Engineer and project manager with Pitney Bowes, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Rostovon-Don, Russia, to the late Lev and Ekaterina (Kamensky) Wologodzew, Walter survived World War II and immigrated to the United States in 1957. He was the widower of Natalia Fedorov and Inna Golub. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Maria Wolog Peavy and her husband, Leopold Peavy III (Dexter) of Woodbridge; his cherished grandchild­ren, Leopold IV (LP), Natasha, George, and Katherine

Peavy. He is survived by his twin brother, Leo Wologodzew and wife, Marina, of Shelton; and his niece, Cathy Grace; and nephew, Alexander Wologodzew; and many grandniece­s and nephews. Other survivors include his stepdaught­ers, Helen Rose and her husband Efraim Sagiv of Orange, and Olga Golub and her husband Ilya Gorelik of Weston, MA; his step-grandchild­ren, Julia Begun, Matthew Gorelik and wife Amanda Hobson and Isaac Gorelik.

Walter was an active parishione­r at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Stratford for sixty years and served on the church council, holding positions as treasurer and church warden. Walter was a devotee of square dancing, exercise, hiking, skiing, and was a rated chess player who played in many tournament­s. He held many patents during his time with Pitney Bowes.

Friends may call on Monday, May 16th from 4-6 pm in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. Pannikhida will take place at 7:00 pm in St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 1 Honeyspot Rd., Stratford. Divine Liturgy will take place on Tuesday, May 17th at 8:00 am, with a Requiem Funeral Service at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Novo-Diveevo in Spring Valley, NY.
