Lena Barthel, East Haven: The catcher had a home run and a double in East Haven’s decisive 15-2 win over conference rival Cheshire. Barthel had three RBIs and three runs to lead the offense.

Emilee Bishop, East Haven: Bishop earned the win against Cheshire, striking out 11 batters and allowing one earned run on three hits. She also doubled twice with an RBI and three runs. She went 6-for-10 on the week with a home run, while striking out 27 batters over three games.

Cassidy Doiron, Woodland: Went 4-for-4 with two home runs and seven RBIs in Woodland’s 13-0 win over Kennedy. She also homered against Seymour, driving in three runs and scoring twice.

GAMES TO WATCH

East Haven at Amity, Wednesday, 4:15 p.m.: The first time these teams met this season, Amity defeated East Haven 1-0. Bishop and East Haven will look to keep its winning streak going and get some revenge.

Masuk at Newtown, Wednesday, 4:30 p.m.: The top two teams in the SWC will go head-to-head as Newtown looks to be the first conference team to hand Masuk a loss. Without its slugger Bri Pellicone, the task will be made even more difficult.

Jonathan Law at North Haven, Thursday, 7 p.m.: Jonathan Law has won 14 straight games since losing to North Haven in the third game of the season. Now atop the SCC standings, Law will look to avenge its lone loss.
