WEST HAVEN — The 14th phase of the brick Veterans Walk of Honor in Bradley Point Park will be dedicated at a ceremony May 28, open to the public, the city said in a release.

Members of the West Haven Veterans Council and city officials will be on hand for the dedication, and all veterans are invited to participate, according to the release.

Mayor Nancy R. Rossi and Veterans Council President Dave Ricci will offer remarks; mayoral Executive Assistant Louis P. Esposito Jr. will serve as the master of ceremonies.

The Veterans Council began the endeavor in November 2006, with bricks being sold, in phases, to memorialize veterans on the 100-yard Walk of Honor between the William A. Soderman and Vietnam Veterans memorials, the release said.

The bricks, which have lettering for personalized messages, cost $75.

About 2,900 bricks have been installed so far, the release said, with 58 in the 14th phase being dedicated May 28.
