Sophie Parillo

October 13, 1930 - May 17, 2022

Sophie Alberino Parillo 91, of Branford beloved wife of the late James Parillo passed away on May 17, 2022 in the Masonicare of Wallingford. Loving mother of the late Jacqueline Parillo. Sister of Annette (Nicholas) Palermo of North Branford and the late John Alberino Jr. Loving aunt of Jack (Gail) Parillo of North Haven. Sophie is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Sophie was born in New Haven on October 13, 1930 daughter of the late John and Rose Maturo Alberino Sr. Prior to her retirement Sophie was the owner of the former East Haven Nursing Home. The family would like to thank the doctor’s and staff at the Masonicare for the wonderful care shown to Sophie during her illness.

Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven SATURDAY morning at 10:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Mary’s Church (Branford) at 10:30. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
