Police: Man injured in New Haven shooting
NEW HAVEN — A 37year-old Hamden was struck and injured by gunfire Sunday morning, police said.
Officers responded to Webster Street between Dixwell Avenue and John Danield Place shortly before 11:30 a.m. due to a report of a shooting, according to Officer Scott Shumway, a spokesperson for the New Haven Police Department.
Shumway said officers located a man on the street suffering from injuries that are not life threatening. The man who police did not name was rushed to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
Police have not named any suspects or announced any arrests in connection with the shooting. Detectives from the department’s major crimes unit are leading the investigation, Shumway said.
