Bubba Watson is in danger of missing both the U.S. Open and the Travelers Championship in June.

The three-time Travelers champion announced on his Twitter account Monday afternoon that he has a torn meniscus in his knee and will be out four to six weeks. If it is on the long end, Watson will miss both events. The Travelers begins four weeks from Thursday on June 23.

“I’m disappointed to have to pull out of @CSChallengeFW (the Charles Schwab Challenge, beginning Thursday). Recent knee issues turned out to be a torn meniscus so I’ll be out for 4-6weeks. Hope to be back soon!”

Watson, 43, won the Travelers in 2010 (his first PGA Tour victory), 2015 and 2018. He has played in 14 consecutive Travelers.

He finished tied for 30th at the PGA Championship after entering the final two rounds in title contention.

Justin Thomas, who won the PGA Championship on Sunday in a three-hole playoff, is competing in the Travelers, along with Will Zalatoris, who lost in the playoff. The winner and runner-up (Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy) at this year’s first major, the Masters, are also competing at TPC River Highlands.
