Cops: Woman, 38, shot in Fair Haven
NEW HAVEN — A city woman was shot Friday night in Fair Haven, according to police.
Officers were called to Ferry Street between Peck and Lombard streets at about 9:30 p.m., Officer Scott Shumway said in an email.
Shumway said officers found the 38-year-old New Haven woman who had been wounded by gunfire. She was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, where she was treated for non-lifethreatening injuries, Shumway said.
The department’s Bureau of Identification responded to the scene and collected ballistic evidence, Shumway said, while detectives from the Major Crimes Unit were leading the investigation.
