Patricia Delaney Naples

Patricia Delaney Naples, 91, of Hamden, CT, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 26, 2022. Patricia was the daughter of the late Frank Delaney and Mary (McNamara) Delaney. She was married to the late Albert Naples for 64 wonderful years. Patricia grew up in the Fair Haven section of New Haven and attended

St. Francis Grade School,

St. Mary’s High School and graduated from St. Joseph College (West Hartford) with a degree in Chemistry. In addition to spending many years as a stay-athome mother raising her 5 children, she went back into the work force and had a fulfilling career working at Yale University for 25 years, using her degree in Chemistry. She enjoyed spending her summers down in Westbrook, CT at Island View Beach at her summer home that she and her husband built together back in 1962. She was proud of her Irish heritage and traditions and loved telling stories of her grandparents who immigrated from Ireland. After retirement, she enjoyed spending much of her time relaxing with her family and friends. She leaves behind five children, Mary Anne Mcintyre (late Jerry Carnevale) of Wakefield, RI, Patricia ( Jeremy) Perrin, of North Haven, Albert (Maureen) Naples of Hamden, Paul (Susan) Naples of Wallingford and Christine Naples of Hamden; nine grandchildren: Sean (Erin) Mcintyre, Shannon (Alec) Ellsworth, Dr. James (Molly) Naples, Michael (Sara) Naples, Dr. Robert (Danielle) Naples, Emily Perrin, Brian (Melissa) Naples, Dr. Lisa Naples, Paul (Kelly) Naples Jr.; 14 great-grandchildren and many loving and caring nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Frank Delaney; and sister, MaryJane Lawlor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022 at 12:00 noon in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Calling hours at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden, will be Thursday morning prior to the Mass from 9:30-11;30.
