William T. Ludington

William T. Ludington, 64, of West Haven, entered into rest on August 26, 2022, surrounded by his friends and family. One of twelve children, Bill was born in New Haven on December 3, 1957, a son of the late Reginald and Dorothy (Taragowski) Ludington. Survived by his brother, Paul (Patty) Ludington; sisters, Joanne Wade, Dorothy-Clare (Victor) Tralongo, Patti Dering, Cindy (Robert) Marinoff, Regina ( Jack) Aiello; sisters-in-law, Carol and Carrol Ludington; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and greatnieces and nephews. Bill is additionally preceded in death by brothers, George, Richard, Thomas, Johnny, and Edward Ludington; as well as brother-in-law, Mark Dering.

Anyone who knew Bill knew he had a heart bigger than himself. He would help everyone, whether it be fixing your car, or lending you a few dollars, Bill was always there. An avid NASCAR fan, he could always be found at the Pocono Races with his crew, made up of his brother, Richard, Bobby Wheeler, best friend and roommate, Eric Samuel, and loving nephew, Spencer Ludington. He enjoyed visiting with his friends, whether it be at “The Shop” on Friday’s, or just an informal backyard visit- it was always a great time for all!

A consummate autobody professional, Bill worked for many shops throughout the New Haven area, and later at Classic Used Auto Parts until his retirement.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 10am to 1pm, at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. There are no additional services at this time.
