Feb. 11: Author Roya Hakakian will speak about Women, Life and Liberty: Current Protests in Iran. Born and raised in Tehran, she arrived in the U.S. in 1985. Her writing includes the memoir Journey from the Land of No: A Girlhood Caught in Revolutionary Iran and Assassins of the Turquoise Palace.
Feb. 22: BE SMART for Kids will be the topic for a Zoom conversation Wednesday evening, February 22 with Joanna Taczanowsky, who is the state lead of that effort. The presentation will address gun accidents and the risk of guns in suicide.
