Yale women clinch first ECAC Hockey regular-season title

Elle Hartje had a hat trick as the No. 2 Yale women's hockey team locked up its first ECAC Hockey regular-season title with a 10-1 win over Harvard in New Haven on Saturday.

Tijana Miskovic, Charlotte Welch, Emma Seitz, Claire Dalton, Carina DiAntonio, Sofie Zander and Anna Bargman also scored for Yale (26-2-1, 192-1 ECAC), which will be the top seed in the conference tournament.

Men’s basketball

Manhattan 73, Fairfield 72: At Fairfield, Ant Nelson finished with a game-high 24 points to lead the Jaspers to a MAAC win over the Stags on Sunday.

TJ Long led Fairfield (12-15, 8-9 MAAC) with 23 points, while Supreme Cook added 17 points and Allan Jeanne-Rose added 10 points.

Manhattan improved to 10-15 (8-8 MAAC). Quinnipiac 90, Rider

88 (2OT): at Hamden, Dezi Jones led all scorers with 28 points as he Bobcats outlasted the Broncs for a MAAC win on Sunday.

Matt Balanc added 17 points and 11 rebounds for Quinnipiac (19-9, 10-7 MAAC), while Alexis Reves scored 12 points and Tyrese Williams finished with 11 points.

Dwight Murray Jr. led Rider (14-11, 11-5 MAAC) with 19 points. Yale 93, Princeton 83 (OT): At Princeton, N.J., John Poulakidas scored eight of his 30 points in overtime to lead Yale past Princeton 93-83 on Saturday.

Poulakidas made 11 of 19 shots, 4 for 6 from distance, for the Bulldogs (18-7, 8-4 Ivy League). Bez Mbeng finished with 21 points, five rebounds and four steals. EJ Jarvis shot 6 of 8 from the field and 6 for 10 from the line to finish with 18 points.

Tosan Evbuomwan totaled 22 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to pace the Tigers (17-8, 8-4). Ryan Langborg added 14 points and five assists. Matt Allocco had 13 points and two steals.

Poulakidas and Mbeng combined to score 16 of Yale's 23 points in overtime. Mbeng made a layup with four seconds remaining to send the game to an extra period tied at 70.

Men’s hockey

Quinnipiac 5, Brown 2: At Hamden, Sam Lipkin scored a pair of goals on Saturday as the Bobcats finished their home schedule unbeaten with a 13-0-1 record this season at M&T Bank Arena.

Zach Metsa, Ethan deJong and Skyler Brind'Amour also scored for Quinnipiac 26-3-3 (18-2-0 ECAC).

Yale 4, Princeton 0: At Princeton, N.J., Nathan Reid finished with 40 saves for his second shutout in an ECAC road win on Saturday.

Ian Carpentier scored a pair of goals for the Bulldogs (6-17-4, 5-13-2 ECAC), while Niklas Allain and David Chen also scored.

Canisius 6, Sacred Heart 4: At Buffalo, N.Y., Keaton Mastrodona­to scored a pair of goals as the Golden Griffins beat the Pioneers on Saturday.

Sacred Heart fell to 1514-2 (13-8-2 AHA).
