John C. Migliaro of Branford died peacefully on March 2, 2023 at the Guilford House with his family by his side. He was the husband of Doris Hotchkiss Migliaro.

John was born in New Haven on September 13, 1932 to the late Dominic and Lucia Mondello Migliaro. He served his country with honor with the US Army during the Korean War. He was recently presented with The Korean Veterans Memorial Gold Cross. After being honorably discharged, John began a career as a sheet metal worker with Sheetmetal Workers Local 40. He was also a licensed real estate agent and sold property in West Haven. John was a member of the Secular Franciscan Third Order, St. Stanislaus Fraternity. He loved listening to Italian music, watching television and reading. John’s family would like to thank the staff at the Guilford House for the exceptiona­l care they gave him.

He was the proud father of Lucy DiGioia (Peter), Elizabeth Migliaro-Giamattei, Andrew and the late Joseph Minicozzi. Brother of Carmel Trapanotto and the late Teresa Barbuto, Salvatore and Dominic Migliaro, Jr. Loving grandfathe­r to Adrienne DiGioia and Jessica Giamattei.

Visiting hours will be Monday morning from 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Pl., New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
